The first time I heard this song was at church in the Keys. I loved it immediately. I could feel the spirit moving and the Love message penetrating the atmosphere of the sanctuary. Many of us were just as moved to pass this blessing on or back. It was just flowing through. This was a clear case of God speaking and his people listening. Some heard a song, many liked some didn’t. Some heard and felt the spirit of God, then responded as others just soaked it in.
I suspect many more people listened to this song than those who listen to the sermon (message). Or, how about listening to the Holy Spirit. If you could hear and feel the message in this song, surely you can listen to the Holy Spirit. The Loving message{s} of our God are available to us because of the Love our Lord Yeshua has for us and the sacrifice he made for us. The enhanced ability to hear The Holy Spirit for reborn Christians is a game changer.
Bearing the reminder that God is for us, this song’s verses are taken straight from Numbers 6:24-26 (NLT): “May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show his favor and give you his peace.” It’s a prayer for families and a special one for parents to pray over their children.
While listening to this song, let’s think about our Lord Jesus. He willingly went to the cross on our behalf. Jesus entered the tomb and came out the other side as a living example for us. This song could be an axample as to how Love can enter a sinful body and come back out as a blessing to others. Set aside 15 minutes to devote time to listen. When song is complete, use some time to reflect and get closer to the Holy spirit. Truly try to surrender and listen. God wants to communicate with us.
