Often as I travel along a song comes over the radio that is so sweet. My mind just rewrites some of the lyrics and it becomes a hymn. Use the melody along with the lyrics.
“The Rose” Rendition by: Ralph Thoren June 21, 2020
Some say, “Jesus .he is a river
That drowns the tender reed”
Some say, “Jesus. he is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed”
Some say, “Jesus. is a hunger
An endless aching need”
I say, “Jesus. is a flower
And you one of his seeds”
It’s the heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It’s the dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance
It’s the one who won’t be taken
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul afraid of dyin’
That never learns to live
When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong
Just remember that Jesus left us
Just after letting us know
That later on because he loves us
He will join us here below
